A comprehensive insurance policy covering loss or damage to stock/merchandise found in cold storage. A necessary condition for the provision of this coverage is the existence of a Machinery Insurance Policy. It can also be added to a Shop Insurance Policy.

Basic Coverage
The basic coverage of the Insurance Policy includes:

• Loss of goods after their deterioration due to Loss or damage to a freezer chamber due to a sudden and unforeseen event.

Optional coverages:

• Accidental leakage of cooling liquid or gas in the freezer chamber.

Exceptions:
The Policy is subject to exclusions, some of which are:

• War risks.
• Terrorist acts.
• Nuclear radiation, environmental pollution.
• Improper packaging or improper stacking.
• Fire, lightning, theft, flood, earthquake, aircraft crash, storm, thunderstorm, volcanic eruption, subsidence.
• Consequential damage.
