Employer’s Liability Insurance is mandatory for every Employer (who is not the sole employee and shareholder of his company), according to the Law on Mandatory Liability Insurance of Employers. This is a comprehensive insurance program for the insured’s liability from negligent acts or omissions, in relation to the employment of individuals.

Basic Coverage
The basic coverage of the Insurance Policy includes:

• The legal responsibility of the employer for payment of compensation to his employees in relation to death or physical injury from an accident or occupational disease, (which is determined in relevant regulations), caused as a result and during their employment in the employer’s work in Cyprus or abroad, (for permanent residents of Cyprus).

The following are the minimum compensation limits provided by the Company and satisfy those provided by the relevant legislation:

• For each employee €160,000.
• For each incident €3,417,203.
• For each period of insurance €5,125,804.

Exceptions:
The Policy is subject to exclusions, some of which are:

• War Hazards.
• Terrorist Acts.
• Nuclear radiation, environmental pollution.
• Cyber Risk.
• Magnetic or electric or electromagnetic fields.
• Liability to employees of subcontractors.
• Liability from asbestos use.
• Liability by agreement.
• Exemplary or punitive damages, fines and penalties.
